Route 66 (Weekend Reflections # 121)

Clinton, Oklahoma

A reflection of a biker on an old car and in the window of The Route 66 museum in Clinton Oklahoma. I didn't go inside because I was trying to stay ahead of a tornado. It was a good decision because the tornado struck this area about a half an hour later.  I don't think the museum was damaged but I'm glad I wasn't caught in the storm.

If needed, please click the link near the top right corner for Weekend Reflections instructions. Now, lets have some fun with Weekend Reflections!

For reflection lovers, this one sure has lots going on, James! The car, the biker, the buildings and cars across the street. And then some. Glad you stayed out of harms way.

There's a tornado coming. No wait, I must take this picture. That's real dedication James and a fine image. I really like this one!

I always enjoy these shots where you must put some effort into deciding which part of an image is reflected and which is not.

These are some of my favorite kind of reflections....where you wonder what's inside and what's out and the dimension/depth of the photo has multiple layers-perhaps more than what actually exists. LOVE.
However, now I'm going to be hearing "Route 66" a la Manhattan Transfer in my brain for the next couple hours.
Happy weekend James.

Great reflection and remembrance of a time since past! (Also a smart choice to not wait for the tornado.)

You didn't want to stick around for the show? I don't blame you. This is a neat reflection, a contrast of old car, new bike.

How wonderful to see so many superposed images, and yet each retaining its information and contributing to the "transportation" theme! Lovely pic.
Great to hear you escaped the wrath of the elements!
Thanks for hosting.

I have survived 3 tornadoes, but I waited them out in our basement. I am glad you were wise enough to keep going. :-)

James, you are the master of multiple reflections in one image. Love the complexity of this one. Wonder if the glass broke later on?

So much to see in this shot! I didn't know you were a storm chaser? I grew up in OKC, so I know a thing or two about tornadoes. They can be fascinating.

Owen said...

Ah, but think of the reflections you could have caught if you had stayed for the moment the wind blew out all those plate glass windows ! :-)

Dear, James.

I like U.S.A. which you photograph.
It is greatly resonant in my heart.

The cheerful smiles are memorized by me in U.S.A.
Your photography reminds me of it.
 I am always embracing it.
 So, always.

Thank you my master, James.
