Red Barn, White Snow and Blue Sky

No we didn't get hit with a freak September snow storm. lol, I took this picture last February.
When the weather cools down I like to pack up my camera and go for long drives exploring and finding interesting things to photograph. I saw this nice looking red barn sticking out like a sore thumb in a sea of white.

Grand Central Reflections (Weekend Reflections # 53)

This is the reflection of the sculpture and clock on the facade of Grand Central Terminal in New York City. Mercury is easy to see with his arms stretched out under the Hyatt's " T's" but the reflection also shows a distorted Minerva lying on her side and Hercule's head as well as some buildings. The sculpture was created in 1914 by Jules Alexis Coutan of Paris.

The Colorful Crossing

I like the way the colors work together in this scene. It seems like you can find a match to the people's clothes on the ground or on the buidings and cars.

Tiny Dancers (Weekend Reflections # 52)

These are the tiny dancing fairies that live in the shoe cobbler's window. It's a striking little red building that looks very old. Every time I walk by I expect these little ladies to start dancing and twirling to strange dreamy music.
I also wonder if they're waiting for the return of the Tiny Iceman of Newtown.
You can see the blurred reflections of the brick buildings across the street but it's obvious who the stars of this photo are.

Olde St. Andrew's at Night

I took these photos of Old St. Andrew's Church (circa 1880) while on my walk last night. I can see the lights from this church when I look out of my window but I think this is the first time I took pictures of it at night. I almost never take night pictures but I want to start. I also walked into the church cemetery but I got a little creeped out and headed to the main street area instead. :)

Newtown Reflected (Weekend Reflections # 50)

Hello and Welcome to Weekend Reflections!

I noticed these reflections in a shop window during my walk around the little "main street" area of Newtown on Thursday morning. I saw the reflections of the brick buildings and blue sky in the pitchers on the table then I noticed the bigger reflections of cars and buildings.
